Welcome to the PING Charity website
Brian Harrold and Pamela Morgan, two retired business people, run this charity and visit The Gambia a few times each year to ensure the projects are focused, progressing to plan & on budget and to negotiate with suppliers.
They learn by listening to the villagers and utilise the funds where they will be the most productive.
Initially we were as confused as most people with the various theories on the best way to help those most in need. One view on Government Foreign Aid is “it takes money from the residents in developed countries and gives it to the well-off in underdeveloped countries”.
Another view is that money given to large international charities filters from the top down, and just how much reaches those most in need at the bottom is debateable.
Our aim was to put our money and our management experience where it is most obviously needed and we’re satisfied that PING does exactly that:
There is no middle man - 100% of your money can start helping IMMEDIATELY!
