It was agreed at the beginning that the villagers would establish a Savings Account to be funded from sales of produce from the garden. This is to cover future maintenance and repairs.

We are now ready and enthusiastic to replicate this model in other villages. The essential economic activity in other villages may not always be a market garden. We have found a number of other feasible activities, such as bee-keeping, rearing of sheep, goats or chickens and manual brick-making. The final decision will be made in conjunction with each village, as they have to “own” their project from conception.

If you will help us, we will be as careful with your money as we were with our own in Bafaluto.

Thanks in anticipation,
Brian Harrold & Pamela Morgan, Trustees
