26 water systems completed in Gambia.
This month we reached a milestone. 26 communities now have clean reliable water.
Kerr Alhaji Malick sits on the northern border with Senegal. Its new system serves 1500 people across some 87 compounds.Villagers did all the labour and helped lay the pipework themselves and a village committee now collects funds and maintains the system.
Jalangbang had a few small private small boreholes but around 3000 villagers had no reliable clean water until this week. Now 154 compounds have access . Households pay a small monthly fee so the system can be maintained for years to come.
We have identified 4 more villages ,all with at least 1000 people waiting for a clean water system, so please donate now, and help us reach them.
