Jawlaba School in The Gambia has around 220 pupils. Until recently, the school had no reliable access to clean water. Children and staff had to manage without a safe supply for drinking and basic hygiene—making everyday learning harder and increasing health risks. This village is near Brikama, the engineers finished the job this week with the help of the villagers digging all the necessary trenches. It will provide water for the 500 compounds in the village, almost 2,000 people. The currency exchange is very good at present and the solar panels are now higher capacity so we need fewer.
