When someone says it’s up country a little bit, we will pay greater attention in future. as we spent 2 days on the only Gambian road east to visit all the villages we completed in 2025.

Bantanto village is the furthest inland. On the way we visited Bansang , Faraba Sutu with its wonderful vegetable garden, Sotokoi, and Janjanbureh village and clinic, Mboyeen Dara, and Nyfiending village and garden.

Check out the picture gallery.

We visited the North Bank villages via the very slow ferry crossing the Gambian river and we are delighted all those projects are also working well and we received great thanks from the committees at Njongon, MBullet Ba, Jamagen, Samba Yassin and Chessey

All the water systems are working well and what the women have achieved in the gardens is amazing.

We now have 30,000 Gambians with clean drinking water.

The water committees collect funds monthly from the villagers for future maintenance and any repairs of the systems. We get a commitment from each village to do this before we invest in a new water system.

On the way back we stopped at Jawlaba school, 220 pupils and No Water at all! So this is the next project. Their old well stopped working in early 2024 and the new headmaster contacted us for help. There is a fenced area, 50 by 50mts, beside the school which can become a vegetable garden, and parents can collect water as they pick up their kids. Any help you can give us would be much appreciated.
