Jawlaba School in The Gambia has around 220 pupils. Until recently, the school had no reliable access to clean water. Children and staff had to manage without a safe supply for drinking and basic hygiene—making everyday learning harder and increasing health risks.
Thanks to a new clean-water system, the school now has a dependable source of safe drinking water, also used for the school kitchen and irrigating the adjoining vegetable garden. This single improvement supports better health, better attendance, and a better learning environment for every child at Jawlaba.
Project cost: £2,500
